About Diana Cornelius,
the author of:
A L.I.F.E. BLUEPRINT:
Spirituality Designed for the Non-Religious
In 1992, a mind-expanding paranormal experience sent professional interior designer Diana Cornelius off on a full-speed-ahead spiritual quest. She believes this mid-life crisis and subsequent soul-deep learning was to become the foundational support for her "spiritual home" in which she could forever dwell. The depth of her conviction to the newly recognized "spiritual" side of her personality is evident in her new book. The otherworldly experience made it absolutely necessary for Diana to know more about "the other side." She reached out to the community around her to find out what it means to live a spiritual life and what spiritual people know. Part of the process involved a good deal of personal growth that was necessary to become the psychologically mature woman that she is. The life transformation that followed inspired her to share her answers with others that, like her, are not religious.
Diana is part of that world majority that is not religious. Her early years in the protestant church left her feeling uneasy. Surely she must be exempt from being "born in sin" as the church told her. Other tenets of the Christian faith disturbed her as well. If God was Love, as her Emerson-quoting Grandmother was fond of saying, then how could anyone fear such a God? And why
would a nice person like Jesus want her to feel guilty that he had died? What exactly did Adam and Eve do that was so awful? Such tales didnt mesh with her perspective, but neither could she go through life without knowing God. The reader will enjoy learning how Diana solved her problem.
Ms. Cornelius is a native of the California Bay Area and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley. Her early career included seven years with the West Coast advertising department of The New Yorker Magazine. In 1987, she created an interior design company and referred to herself as The Frugal Decorator. A practitioner of yoga for over 30 years and even a stint at hang gliding are among the accomplishments of this healthy, fearless woman. Divorced after a 25-year marriage, Diana found new adventure and freedom to explore her love of performance. While singing with a local choral group, Diana found real joy connecting with an audience. Subsequently, she began public speaking. Her presentation has the provocative title, "Whose House Are You Living In? Discovering Your Spirits Interior Design" Since the introduction of her new book and the interest it is receiving, the title and content has changed to "Spirituality for the Non-Religious."
Post Script: Diana recently sang with her choir at the Pacific Coast Church on the Monterey Peninsula in California. It was a very fateful day. She is now married to a very spiritual man who saw her sing and lost his heart! They now live in the Central Coast of California.
Her acronym, L.I.F.E., stands for Loving Infinite Force of Energy
